I lost all my respect for wiki when I discovered corporate "spies" were going in and removing and changing negative information about products and corporate behaviors. So far as I know nothing has been done to stifle this bit of insanity either.

Its fairly reliable. This is the first time I am hearing that people have entered false information but most of the information i get is true so I'm not sure about that.I think it is a very good source of information.

oh well if you really want to learn something you can always go to http://academicearth.org/

I find raw information will generally only take you so far anyhow. I suppose to an extent that's why students are sometimes told not to use wiki, it has a habit of disconnecting some things that are related, and sometimes making related things that really aren't.

That's my experience at least.

Then again for a great deal of things I actually think the old master/apprentice, method was much more effective.

So I'm probably just crazy.
