Tech Specs Hybrid user interface for PC gaming
Intel® Core™ i7
10.1" 1280x800 display
Full-screen user interface supporting multi-touch
3-axis gyro, magnetometer, accelerometer
Force feedback
Dolby® 7.1 surround sound
WiFi 802.11b/g/n
Bluetooth® 3.0

Looks interesting....7.1 surround sound seems a touch overboard though.

Wow, thats so reminiscant of the late 1980's NeoGeo 'Handheld' prototype arcade system i saw in Birmingham UK. Theirs was connected via cable to the main machine though.

Yea, this is a prototype as well...but it's standalone. No mention of how much space it's gonna have....but I'm guessing with today's form factors in HDDs it could easily be over 320 gigs if they wanted.

Also that resolution on that size is going to make for really sharp pictures. Not a bad way to show off yer pics.

It doesn't hurt that you can hook it upto a regular keyboard and mouse as well, although it's regular controls look pretty adequate to me.

Actually this feels more like a laptop, redesigned for gaming. Radically redesigned. Which is pretty cool in a way. And I would guess that gives it more power than any other handheld out there...not that I know much about them but I doubt they feature an i7.

Razor plans to release it with Windows 8, it seems, as that provides better touch compatibility.

All in all, I rather think if you had to buy a tablet....this could give Apple a real run for it's money. Talking about money, Razor plans to retail it for under $1000 and it's not coming till the end of the year. By then Apple may have something even better. Probably will have.

Way I see it, for a windows user this would make a whole lot more sense than the other tablets with proprietary or Android OSes on them. Unfortunately, razor never did go for the mass market and usually have things priced so that they have a degree of exclusivity going for them that allows them to carve out a very select niche market.

But gotta say, I like it the more I learn about it.

Great find..cheers.. Very Happy Looks magnificent..

They also produced some gaming laptop few months back called razer switchblade..guess this is the same group..let's see how this one goes..

https://isohunt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=590909

Side note (maybe OT):- Sometimes they all look like ipad to me; I've ipad and iphone and pods but unless you get one hell of an addictive game/app it's pointless to buy 'em; because entertainment wise they have aged a bit. since all of 'em literally do the same work. As for the gaming devices, bigger screen is the current trend. As long as you're utilizing your console on a 3D HD blah blah these stuffs are meaningless. Same goes for the new PSVita; what a ripoff. It's all a copy paste competitive marketing strategy and all the almost same products with a different cover and a brand name. Where's the nanotube gaming cards, where's the plasmatic enviro chips and where's the liquid memory micro cylinders..most of us though those would be possible by now; I shouldn't go deep into that though. Our era would be named as ..."It's a tablet and heck yeah it's a PC" era. lol

I didn't notice this thread, hmm. Well as it turns out skyrim can indeed play on the Fiona. For more info go here:

I wonder what this will mean for modding potential as well.

yes, nice hardware, but win8 is NOT cool http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/245797/microsoft_we_can_remotely_delete_windows_8_apps.html
, any one who plans to buy or preorder should demand win7 or XP

It would be amusing if a company as logitech were to develop a brace with the controllers to click onto the back of an ipad 3......
Wonder how and where the lawyers would start mudslinging.
Whilst it looks incredibly cool i personally cannot imagine using one. I like the comfort of my easy chair and a big screen.

I dont know what to think about this device; if its comfortable to game on, it could hit a niche market. Im not a huge gamer, though i game some, so not really of use to me - i think they should focus on a accessory type thing, as was mentioned before. I think we're going to see alot of tablets with heavy duty specs this year.

Dunno may be just me but if I walked into Mcdonalds and seen someone playing skyrim on something like that I'd have this urge to slap them across the back of the head.
