Do you game on PC?

A a result of this thread, I'm interested to know how many people here who have a computer use it to play games that you would otherwise not be able to play if you were using an OS that did not support those games (Linux/Mac). Or,if you use one of those but dual boot in order to play. By games I pretty much mean those that require you to have Windows in one version or another in order to play, such as Bioshock.

I do to both questions, I recently lost a drive so not at this time doin anything but usually have a gamin system, General OS And linux installed, toyed with vista for a while, but yes, i do not own any other Games other than PC..well actually I own one ps2 but don't play it.. so yes all round.

add: installed bioshock to see if would play but will have to wait until get my new Drive installed to remake a gamin OS before I can play in a any decent fashion.

I use my PC primarily for games and the only dual boot I have is Vista.
I have Linux installed on an old P3 because Im trying to hack WEP keys but thats it.
Linux isnt much use to me although I see Quake Wars:Enemy Territory(a new game)will work on it.

I am heavily involved in both WoW and The Sims 2, so I pretty much live on my PC. Other games I fiddle with, depending on my mood... I also have a PS2, but I haven't touched it in a month or more.

I just got this PC, running XP... I actually had to pay alienware to NOT install Vista :/

I use Linux and I just play Linux games, Windows games via Cedega and roms with emulators.

I game on PC.. For one because I dont have a PS2 and cant get some of those games for that..

But I have a larger collection of roms for older systems than I do games for windows so..

I used to game...

but i've collected finances and am upgrading everything in my house... it's sad but true. getting rid of the tubes once and for all.

anyway, I used to game, but now i'm sticking to console games, and using 1 PC for 3D modeling/rendering 1 for some gaming, and then a mobile for generic office usage.

I just recently got into wow, before that i didnt really play any games. Wow runs way better on linux with my hardware then windows, approx. 30% higher frame rates Smile

I've always been a PC gamer. Never got into the console thing but amongst all of my roommates we've got every major console since Atari. Laughing

The latest console trend seems to be consoles trying to do what PC's have been doing for years.

PC games is the big reason I've never gotten into Linux. I've had a few copies and have messed around with them but never really had a reason to use them as my primary OS.

im another who uses pc for games , namely BF2 , some others aswell but mostly BF2 just because of the online play and the fact im part of a decent clan , but i still have my ps2 for the shear ease of plug-n-play fun, (just waitin for the missus to let me get my ps3 which is gonna take some perswading as i want a new pc build aswell !)
