When BT Runs Browsing speed dies on cable connection

This is one of the strangest problems i have seen with bit torrent. When BT runs web pages take forever to load, not only on the computer running BT but also all computers hooked up to the router. I tried with different BT clients, same problem. Download speed in Bit torrent isn't great eithor. only around 30KB/S Ports 6881-6999 are open and forwarded. Please help. Thankx

What kind of router are you using? I had this same exact problem when I was running my network with a crappy dlink router about a year ago. I upgraded the firmware on the router and it fixed the problem just fine. I eventually "graduated" to a better router though, and have since seen no problem at all with bandwidth when downloading torrents...

...except for when there's like 2 seeds and 50 leeches. I mean COMEON!!! >.<;

The router is an old befsr41 linksys. But this never happened with this router ever before but it is true that the firmware hasnt been updated in a while. I'll give that a try. Thankx
