Will a person get banned if they make a fake account and just use it to gain like 50 rep on their main account?

YES. And if you keep trying to trade using your signature, you will be banned too. Trading has it place in CDkey trading, not in your signature.

#4. Only one trade account per person. If your caught with more than one account in the trade section or attempt to register more than one account, all accounts will be banned without warning.
