How to become an Isohunt Supporter

Hey guys, there have been a few threads started regarding donations to the site, and problems regarding the process.
I have put this guide together to point people in the right direction.

First of all thanks to all who donate, it is a massive help to keep the site going.
You are looking at this because you want to contribute to keeping the internets best torrent indexing site alive, much respect to you....here's how:

There are a few ways to donate
-Paypal
-Credit Card
-Amazon Payments

For this excercise I will be using Paypal.
The system can look a bit confusing to first time donators.
You "buy USD" for example $20 USD will acutually cost you $19.99 - this is the amount I will be donating today to show you the whole process step-by-step.

First of all, you can access the donation section a few ways:

-Click the gambit donate button on the homescreen
-Click "settings and history" just above:

For those of you that use adblock, you will see neither of these options.
These are the urls that they point to:

And they both end up here:

Select the payment method (Paypal in this example) and it brings up the following screen:

Select the amount you wish to donate, then scroll down and click the "donate via paypal" button:

This takes you to Paypal's website, and you should end up at this screen here with the isohunt logo at the top:

If you dont have a paypal account, fill out the required details to create an account (to create a personal paypal account is free)
If you do have an account already, click the login link and login as normal.

Once you have logged into paypal, it will give you a verification of payment screen: (sensitive details obscured Wink

)

(Worth noting here that the site accepts USD but there are users all over the globe, and not everyone has USD as their currency. Paypal will automatically calculate the current exchange rate, and convert it to your own countries currency. I am from UK, hence the conversion to GBP on the right)

Check the info is correct, then hit "the pay now" button. (almost there!)
Your payment will be processed (takes a few seconds, dont hit the back button or refresh, patience child!)

If you have made a succesfull payment, you will arrive at this screen:

Thats it, you are done! (You can now close this window)
Back to the hunt, and refresh your browser...you will see the isohunt supporter status just under your name like so:

And thats all there is to it.

Well, almost..you will now see that you have a new section open up in the forums, the previously hidden "isohunt supporters" section.
Come on in and say hi! (entry fee is beer and pizza all round for other supporters and VIP's) Laughing

Amazon Payments

Ive just discovered that this is very similar to donating with Paypal, so I thought I would include a few steps to show how easy it is.

Follow the above steps until you get to the bit where you choose what donation method you prefer:

Click on the Amazon payments button, then select an amount to donate on the next screen.
You will then be taken to the Amazon login page:

Login as normal, or create an account (to sign up to Amazon is free)
You will then be taken to the payment confirmation screen: (personal details obscured) Wink

Click the confirm button to process the payment. You will then see a confirmation page. Close this down, then back to the hunt and refresh your browser, same as the method above, and you will now get the supporter logo!

Well, i think that pretty much covers all the angles for now. Will update the guide as necessary if any new methods get launched or existing ones change Wink

Does anyone have experience of using credit card or amazon payments? I have only ever used paypal....
